On 29 January 2020, SAP-Nepal organized educational materials distribution program at Icchakama-6, Adamara. Stationeries and school bags were distributed to 52 chepang students (including 27 girls) of Shree Rastriya Aadharbhot Vidhyalaya, Adamara in the presences of local govt. authorities, teachers, parents, principal, school management committee, WOCLAP members, local resources persons etc. Event was organized in collaboration with Icchakamana rural municipality ward no. 6, DEC-Nepal and Nepal Chepang Association.
On January 28, 2020, SAP- Nepal distributed 60 improved cooking stoves to chepang women of boksherna, Madkena, Dhosghari, Jaugaira and devithan of Icchakamana ward no. 5, Chitwan.
The event was organized in collaboration with DEC-Nepal, Icchakamana Rural Municipality ward no.5 and Nepal Chepang Association at Simalphedi in the presence of 70 participants including chepang women, local govt. authorities, local CSOs representative and media.
On the 16th of December 2019, South Asia Partnership has officially launched the project titled Strengthening Rural Entrepreneurship by Adding Value to Traditional Crafts. The project will be implemented mainly in the DS divisions of Nawagattegama and Pallama in Puttalam District for a three year period with the grant funding from the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Cooperation (HSBC).
