South Asia Partnership Nepal
http://www.sapnepal.org– South Asia Partnership Nepal (SAP Nepal) was founded in 1985 to promote the support small NGOs working at the grassroots level for poverty eradication. In 1994, SAP Nepal evolved from an agency that disbursed funds to a national organization that builds capacity and creates opportunities for the marginalized to reach decision-making forums. SAP Nepal has four regional offices covering 62 of the 75 districts of Nepal, in partnership with more than 1,000 civil society organizations. SAP Nepal helps these organizations develop participatory sustainable development models and to build development and gender perspectives. It has created a strong national network of CBOs that is addressing critical national issues. SAP Nepal has provided civil society leadership in the areas of governance and peace and contributed to the peace process through local and national dialogues. It has also advocated for livelihood issues such as women’s property rights.
