SAP Bangladesh’s annual report reflects the major activities and achievement of SAP-Bangladesh during the fiscal year 2012-2013. It also presents a digest of our performance in the preceding year.
SAP-Bangladesh has been implementing various Development Programs since 1984 and is dedicated to the socio-economic development of the economically disadvantaged & vulnerable women and children of both rural and urban areas. It emphasizes bottom up participatory and integrated development focusing the target group development approach. It has been implementing Community-based Development activities in different parts of Bangladesh. It emphasizes the fullest participation of the people in every development efforts, initiatives and also to undertake joint venture project for the benefit of the people. Besides development programs, SAP-Bangladesh has been implementing different Awareness-raising/Campaign, Education, Counseling, Prevention, and Health Treatment Services in different area of Bangladesh. Most of the vulnerable, disadvantaged, deprived, disabled, ethnic and coastal belt poor people are the beneficiaries of the projects.
More specifically, the report covers the 13 projects that South Asia Partnership (SAP)-Bangladesh successfully implemented during the reporting period, sequentially portrayed under six thematic clusters covering each household. These projects relate to Livelihood Development (18810), Education & DRR (25177), Health Care (7802), Human Rights & Good Governance (86623), Microfinance program (29983).
