Marvi Sirmed, a peace activist and a renowned journalist, had her house ransacked and travel documents and electronic devices including 2 laptops and smart phone stolen.
“It’s amazing if it could have been a routine burglary they would have taken other valuables such as jewelry and such other things. It’s an effort to curb the freedom of expression and right to privacy. South Asia Partnership Pakistan is with Marvi Sirmed and condemns such action.”
SAP Pakistan demands the authorities take this matter into serious account and resolve it to prove we as civil society have freedom of expression and right to privacy.
