SAP Canada member Human Concern International is appealing for donations to help Bangladesh’s flood victims.
Prolonged flooding has hit Bangladesh again. Two-thirds of the country is under water with 40% of the capital, Dhaka submerged. Conditions are getting worse. The sewage system has failed in many places sending dirty water in the streets. Many fear the spread of diarrhea and other diseases.
The situation is critical and the forecast remains grim as the tides rise in Bay Bengal. The poor in the slum areas are facing the worst effects.
